Love Letters

As our tiny wine business begins to grow out of the embryonic stage, there are a lot of things to be thankful for.  First and foremost is the constant and overwhelming support of our friends and family.  Without them, Bruliam would never have gotten off the ground in the first place.  We've also made a number of industry friends who have helped us with reviews, restaurant placements, wine dinners, and gone out of their way to help spread the gospel of Bruliam Wines.  As great as that support has been, it's sometimes the kindness of strangers that really makes us feel like we're on the right path.

Over the past week, we've gotten two emails from people who tried our wine for the first time and felt compelled to write about it.  We hope you forgive our self indulgence in publishing these notes.  We'd like to think that you are all a part of the success of Bruliam Wines and that this feedback is as much for you as it is for us.

First up is a note from a new fan who learned about us at Cucina Urbana:

Just had a wonderful evening at CUCINA URBANA and Kevin, our server, sold us on a bottle of Bu Split Rock, for our celebration of two pals birthdays... WOW! It was wonderful, and, needless to say, thanks to Ben Kephart, we had two more, and one for the road (well, for the cellar)... That pretty-much killed your case of 1-of-25 cs. produced, as the table next to us bought the rest!! We retired to Bertrand's @ Mister A's for a nightcap, but missed our Bu!

I am staring at the bottle, perusing your wonderful website, and thinking how I can afford a few more bottles for friends...

Needless to say, keep up the good work, and congratulations on hitting a home-run after only a couple of hardworking years!

Best,

Ed C.

And then there is this note that came in via Brigade member Mandy B.

Hi Kerith & Brian,

We gave a bottle of your Doctor’s Vineyard Pinot to our cousins up in LA at Christmas. I forwarded her your rating and review that you posted recently. Below are her comments on your fabulous wine.

“We read your review on the wine and looked it up on the internet. We then made a special dinner and tried the wine. It was fabulous! It could be our new favorite Pinot! I closed my eyes and tasted mixed berry pie with buttery crust. Yum! It was complex, with just the right amount of berry brightness, yet at the same time, creamy. Well balanced and divinely drinkable. Wish we had a case or two. Tell your neighbors that they have new fans, and that they need a wine club! We hope to come down and join them for one of their wine dinners.” – Ann

Scores and reviews are gratifying and obviously help us to sell more wine, but reviews like these are really why we wanted to make wine in the first place.

Thanks again, to everyone, for their amazing support!
