The 2009 Pinots Are Ready!

We held a small industry tasting of the 2009 pinot noirs at our home last night and the conclusion was unanimous - there will be no sophomore slump for Bruliam Wines! All three wines presented beautifully, with the Hayley Vineyard pinot from Anderson Valley edging out its siblings as the favorite of the evening.  The wine exhibited great cranberry and red fruit characteristics with a luscious mouthfeel.

The 2009 version of the Doctor’s Vineyard pinot lived up to the hype of the inaugural 2008 bottling, with hints of leather, clove, and allspice.

Our newest offering – the Sonoma Coast pinot from Split Rock Vineyard proved to be a true California pinot – ripe dark fruit notes with a strong backbone.  It showed great acidity and enough tannin to stand up to most foods.

Full tasting notes and reviews will be posted soon.

In the interim, we’re busy putting the final plans together for the big release party on December 5that 2pm at Cucina Urbana in San Diego.  It's going to be a blast with over 100 people already signed up to attend.  If you haven’t RSVP’ed yet, please CLICK HERE to hold your spot.  There are fewer than 20 tickets remaining.

And for you out-of-towners – don’t worry!  We’re working on a special release deal to make sure you get your allocations in time for the holidays.   Check back right after Thanksgiving for details.

We can't wait for you to try these wines!
