Bottling Video and First Bottle Auction

Posted by Brian , August 27, 2009

On August 21st, we went to CrushPad to bottle our 2008 Doctor’s Vineyard Pinot Noir.  The wine tasted great and we went right to work, hand-funneling all of that juice into bottles.  Well,  not really.  In fact, the machines did about 95% of the work.

As you’ll see in the video below, we set aside the very first bottle to roll off the line and then signed and dated it with a “#1” to mark it as the very first bottle of Bruliam Wines ever produced.

To celebrate this occasion, we’ve decided to set up an online auction to allow Brigade members and non-members alike to bid on this bottle.   100% of the purchase price will go to the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity that helps wounded veterans and which we’re very proud to support.

The auction will go live on Tuesday September 1st and run for 10-days.  On the morning of September 1st, we’ll send out an e-mail blast with a link to the auction.  Remember, this is an opportunity to own a very important piece of wine making history (well, sort of) and to support a very important cause.
