Thanks to Lucy C. for arranging this picture - which features Mr. Perrotti and Madame Thornton-Schilling from our alma mater La Jolla Country Day School.  Over 20-years ago, Mr. Perrotti was our 10th grade Chemistry teacher and Madame Thornton-Schilling was our 10th grade French teacher.  Both had a great influence on Kerith’s illustrious academic career.  I’d like to make the same claim, but my short academic career was something less than illustrious.

And for those of you who still don’t know that Kerith and I have really known each other since 10th grade, check out the In the Beginning page of our website.

Kerith and I were recently invited to San Diego Opera’s onstage dinner where we dined on the set of Carmen.  While there, we were delighted to share a bottle of our new Rockpile Zinfandel with Kevin Langan who shined in the bad-guy role of Zuniga.

Many thanks to Brigade member Vance H. who snapped this great picture at the famous Plymouth Rock.  Having never visited myself, I was a little surprised at how small the rock looks in this picture.  Vance noted, “Bruliam:  Like Plymouth Rock, it is quality which prevails over size and lasts through the generations”.  Well said.

I never hold a personal trainer responsible for my BMI, but professional trainer Brian B. is in charge of my flexibility and is responsible for making sure I can lift a case of Pinot Noir onto or off of a shelf. Brian says that if I don’t square up my posture, I will hurt myself being lopsided. One day I wore a Bruliam Wines shirt to a training session and Brian said “This Bruliam shirt is perfect because you can look in the mirror and use the parallel lines of that logo to keep upper body properly aligned when you do upper body resistance training.”

Wow – who knew that Bruliam Wines would be solely resposible for proving once and for all that wine is good for your health?  And what better way to recover from a vigorous workout than to recover with a glass of Bruliam pinot?
