Bottling Video and First Bottle Auction

Posted by Brian, August 27, 2009

On August 21st, we went to CrushPad to bottle our 2008 Doctor’s Vineyard Pinot Noir.  The wine tasted great and we went right to work, hand-funneling all of that juice into bottles.  Well,  not really.  In fact, the machines did about 95% of the work.

As you’ll see in the video below, we set aside the very first bottle to roll off the line and then signed and dated it with a “#1″ to mark it as the very first bottle of Bruliam Wines ever produced.

To celebrate this occasion, we’ve decided to set up an online auction to allow Brigade members and non-members alike to bid on this bottle.   100% of the purchase price will go to the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity that helps wounded veterans and which we’re very proud to support.

The auction will go live on Tuesday September 1st and run for 10-days.  On the morning of September 1st, we’ll send out an e-mail blast with a link to the auction.  Remember, this is an opportunity to own a very important piece of wine making history (well, sort of) and to support a very important cause.

If you can’t see the video below, please click here and then scroll down to view it.
